Year 7 and 8 Coordinator’s Message

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

I would like to celebrate your Eid al-Fitr that we had in Week 4. We have started Term 2 with the month of Ramadan and, with the assistance of the Pastoral Care Department, the school organised iftar dinners for parents for our Year 7-8 students. It was a good opportunity for teachers to meet and engage with parents outside of school hours. I would like to thank Mr Nertil Osmani for organising these iftar dinners at school.

In Term 2, our Year 7 students completed their Naplan tests. We have conducted the Naplan test online and it was a new challenge for our students. However, students showed great effort and did not struggle with this new change.

I would also like to give an update on our Year 7 school camp. Due to Eid al-adha school holidays, the school camp for Year 7s will be postponed to Term 4. More information will be given and the students will have a presentation at school about the camp in Term 3.

The school camp date is 13-15th October 2021 at UC Camping - Camp Acacia. We are looking at student behaviour records and those who are beyond a certain level could lose the privilege of attending camp.

I would like to congratulate our students on completing Term 2 and we are looking forward to the next term.
